How Image Cropper Works
Dragging on the canvas defines a selection rectangle, dimmed everywhere outside it so you can see exactly what will be kept. Cropping copies just that pixel region from the original image onto a new, smaller canvas that you can download.
How to Use This Tool
- Choose or drag in an image.
- Optionally pick a fixed aspect ratio, or leave it Free to select any shape.
- Click and drag on the image to draw your selection.
- Select Crop to apply it, then Download to save the result.
Example
Selecting the center of a 1600×1200px photo and cropping it to a 1:1 square keeps only the selected pixels — for example an 800×800px square — and discards everything outside it.
Helpful Tips
- Use Start Over With Full Image to draw a new selection from the original, uncropped image without re-uploading it.
